Job Description
Creating, editing, and managing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for construction projects using Tekla Structures software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project and industry standards, conducting quality checks, coordinating with design and engineering teams, and troubleshooting issues, strong technical skills in Tekla, attention to detail, and knowledge of structural engineering principles.
Key responsibilities
• Modelling and detailing: Create and edit detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, including general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, connection details, and erection drawings.
• Accuracy and quality: Ensure all models and drawings are accurate, clear, and compliant with project specifications, client guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., AISC standards).
• Quality control: Perform quality checks and proofread documents for errors in grammar, clarity, and style.
• Coordination: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to resolve issues and ensure project requirements are met.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues related to the Tekla models and drawings.
• Documentation: Maintain proper documentation and follow established drawing standards.
Required skills and qualifications
• Technical proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures for detailing and editing.
• Engineering knowledge: A solid understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and civil/structural principles.
• Attention to detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a flexible team environment.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Tekla detailing and editing.
• Education: Engineering Graduate or Diploma holder.
