Job Description
Job Responsibility:
1. PFD DEVELOPMENT
2. P&ID DEVELOPMENT
3. Data sheets and specifications (equipment and instruments, piping special parts)
4. Schedules (equipment list, line list, elec. load list)
5. Inter-Discipline Checks IDC (plot plan, equipment layout, piping model / layout, isometrics,
6. Data sheets of equipment, packages and instruments)
7. Utility Flow Diagrams (UFD’s), Process Safety Diagrams, Material Selection Flow Diagrams (MSD’s), Pressure and Temperature Diagrams (PTD’s) & Utility demand calculation.
8. Checking/preparation of control valves calculation.
9. Trip logic diagram/control Philosophy
10. Preparation of “CAUSE AND EFFECT DIAGRAM (BS-132/BS-131)” for safe plant shut down.
11. Material Request for Process Equipment.
12. Heat Exchanger design & Sizing
13. Preparing project reports, flow diagrams, layout, equipment specifications etc.
• a) Surge analysis calculation.
b) Hydraulic analysis for long distance pipeline
c) Critical line sizing hydraulic and sizing validations.
d) PUMP DESIGN/SIZING/SECLECTION & HYDRAULIC: (CENTRIFUGAL/
e) RECIPROCATING)
f) Pumps hydraulic calculations (NPSHA, NPSHR, SHUT OFF, Power requirement)) calculation npsh
g) Pumps hydraulic checks.
FLARE SYSTEM DESIGN:
1. Complete network design like Basis for design Header network, Relief valve or safety valve sizing, Drum sizing and stack Sizing. (WITH EXAMPLE).
a) Flare & PSV load summary
b) Control philosophy
c) ESD philosophy
2. Flare load/header size reduction by taking appropriate credits as per API- Recommendations.

2) Pipenet (standard and transient model) Guide to PIPENET
3) Cost Estimation (via. Software)
Note: Candidate must have minimum of 5 years in oil and gas only.
