Job Description
The E3D Piping Engineer will be responsible for:
Design and Documentation:
Writing Piping Design Basis, PMS, and technical purchase specifications.
Preparing equipment layouts, piping layouts, GADs, isometrics, nozzle orientations, and pipe supports.
Generating MTO/BOM and conducting stress analysis.
Supplier and Technical Coordination:
Participating in technical alignment and reviewing supplier offers.
Issuing technical comparison tables and validating supplier technical documents.
Reviewing valves lists and validating process data in collaboration with the process team.
Client and Regulatory Compliance:
Reviewing client design basis, applicable codes and standards, and incorporating local regulations.
Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements in piping design.
Project Collaboration:
Managing engineering sub-contractors, defining RFQ packages, and evaluating subcontractor performance.
Participating in meetings with clients, PMC, vendors, and internal teams.
Leading weekly piping discipline meetings and contributing to in-house project reviews.
3D Modelling Expertise
Proficient in 3D modelling processes, tools, and procedures.
Reviewing 3D models for compliance with client specifications and ensuring maintenance and accessibility of equipment, piping, and instruments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: BE Mechanical / Chemical.
Experience: 12 to 15 years in EPC or Oil & Gas sector with strong exposure to piping engineering.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in E3D, PDMS, Plant 3D, and AutoCAD.
In-depth knowledge of ASME, DIN, ISO 9000/14000, and other relevant codes.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of piping and valve materials.
Languages: Fluent in English and Hindi.
