Job Description
Location: Mangalore, Karnataka
Project Duraon: Immediate – December 2027 (Approx. 21 Months)
Experience Required: 8–10 Years (Industrial / Chemical / EPC Project Site Experience)
Role Overview
The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety,
and environmental compliance at the project site. The role involves implementing safety
policies, monitoring site activities, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and client safety
requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety regulations at the
project site.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as lifting operations, working at height, confined
space entry, hot work, and excavation.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety training programs for workers
and staff.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective
actions.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, reports, and audit records.
• Ensure compliance with BASF safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure safe work execution.
Qualifications
• Degree/Diploma in Engineering with Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Experience in chemical plant / industrial construction projects preferred.
